Greg is a Marriage and Family Therapist licensed by the Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board of the state of Kansas. He is currently working toward his Clinical Licensure under the supervision of J. Michelle Robertson, PhD, LCMFT while maintaining a private practice in Wichita, Kansas where he works on a variety of issues with couples, individuals, families and adolescents.
Greg graduated from Friends University with a Masters of Science (MSFT) degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. While fulfilling the educational requirements of his degree Greg completed an internship that included experiences at three different placement sites; Pregnancy Crisis Center of Wichita Inc., King’s Camp for Troubled Adolescents, and the Center on Family Living which is located on the Friends University campus and is an integral part of the MSFT program at Friends University. While at these placement sites he was able to offer psychotherapy services for depression, anxiety, abuse, parent-child relational problems, opposiitonial defiance, anger management, parenting issues, and other disorders. Greg’s approach to therapy utilizes an integrative method that incorporates Attachment Theory, Structured Theory, Strategic Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Theory, Emotion Focused Theory, Brief-Solution Theory, and Narrative Theory along with using intergenerational patterns to help provide insight into behavioral issues. By utilizing the integrative approach Greg is able to customize the therapy to the individual client in order to maximize the results of therapy and provide the ‘best’ approach for each client and their unique set of circumstances.
“I believe that each person makes the best choice they can with the information they possess and that information is based on their past life experiences, their current perceptions, current thought processes, and the environment that currently surround them. I also believe that individuals can find themselves in situations they did not anticipate, did not want, and they do not know exactly how to cleanly resolve that situation. It is for this type of situation that I offer my services. I bring a different perspective along with my education and experience in an effort to support and aid others in resolving their difficulties in life. It is my desire to be of service in this manner.”
